ROSEVILLE’S RAY MOLINA HAS FOUR WINS AT ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY BUT SAYS THE COMPETITION IS GETTING TOUGH —ESPECIALLY FROM HIS SONFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEROSEVILLE, Calif. (July 17, 2019) – Surely Roseville’s Ray Molina wasn’t thinking about how many races he would win in 2019 when he was upside in his race car at the 2018 season finale in November at All American Speedway.Alas, the F4 racer has already logged four victories and leads the points going into Saturday’s event at All American Speedway.“This season is crazy for sure and I didn’t think it would ever happen,” Molina said. “When I flipped my car, I thought it was done.
Everyone told me I would have to scrap it and build a new one. That’s not what happened.“I fixed a few parts, I had to cut the entire roof off, but other than that, everything else is pretty much the same, including the motor. Maybe the flip helped.”Molina is cautiously optimistic about remaining in the lead. He says there are some great cars in the region and anyone can win at any time — especially his son, second-place racer Matthew Smith-Fuhs. But all is fair in love and racingeven between father and son.“We are seeing some new racers come out all the time and if we can get all of them to show up for the same event it’s going to be super fun and really competitive,” Molina said. “The fastest car out there is my son’s. His car is real fast and he almost won the second race of the season.
I used a lapped car as a pick to get around him. I kind of felt bad, but I couldn’t let him get a win that easily.”The F4 category is in good company — every track championship in the NASCAR categories are close and up for grabs.Carmichael’s Andrew Peeler has one win and leads the Super Stock category. He leads North Highlands racer Tony “the Tiger” Latimer by 13 points.Cameron Park’s Jason Romero leads the Late Models with two victories so far this season. He currently holds a 30-point lead over Michael Mitchell of Loomis with a Twin Late Model this weekend where anything can happen in the point standings.Modifieds are led by Nick Lyons of Loomis.
With one win so far, Lyons has a slim 5-point lead over Rocklin’s Cory Englehardt.Fort Bragg’s Trey Daniels has earned three victories in the Bandolero/Mini Cup category, leading Rocklin’s Kenna Mitchel by just two points.Smartsville’s Brody Armtrout leads the Jr. Late Model category with one win. He has a 24-point lead over Fort Bragg’s Lane Anderson.“We are getting close to the mid-point of the season and seeing some great competition in the NASCAR weekly racing and I think we will continue to see a lot of tight championship races from top 10 in each category until the end of the season,” All American Speedway Promoter Bill McAnally said. “With the long-term stability of All American Speedway in place we are finally seeing some new cars being built and racers coming back to the track. The competition is going to continue to grow and I’m excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for the track championships.”Gates open at 4 p.m.

(June 25, 2019) – Cory Riplinger started racing big rig trucks in 1998.
He drives Lucky No. 13 and for the first time ever, will be racing his beast of a truck at All American Speedway on a night that includes the first ever Cherokee Truck Tires Big Rig Rumble, NASCAR weekly racing, a 49er Hall of Fame Grand Marshall and fireworks.Riplinger is part of the North American Big Rig series that will make its debut in Roseville July 6. The event will feature the Cherokee Truck Tires Big Rig Rumble race, NASCAR Whelen racing, fireworks and more. And all of it will be kicked off by Grand Marshall Tom Rathman — the San Francisco 49er Hall of Fame Fullback.Riplinger started racing big rigs for one reason — he drove them during the week, so racing his 1950 Kenworth on the weekend sounded like fun.“Most of the racers are truck drivers and heavy duty mechanics,” Riplinger said. “Trucking has been part of my life since I was a kid.
It’s a thrill to race these trucks and it’s a one-of-a-kind experience to see them race in person.”Riplinger said the series has had record-breaking crowds at all events this year. Word gets out that the trucks people pass on the highway are coming to race, it’s a site to behold in person.“To see these 12,000-pound trucks racing side-by-side at 100 mph is something else,” the Calgary Alberta, Canada resident said. “People can relate to them because they see them up and down the highways every day. We haul about 90 percent of the products they use every day, but to see them in this way — racing each other around tight corners at high speeds — is very exciting.”All American Speedway is operated by Bill McAnally Racing Promotions. McAnally saw the big rigs racing at another facility and immediately knew he wanted them to come to Roseville.“This is an incredible Canadian-based touring series that races at tracks all over the Western United States and they put on a heck of a show,” McAnally said.
“I knew I wanted to bring the series home to our local race fans. They are full size tractors that you would see on the freeway that haul freight all over the country.“We have a lot of fans and partners involved with trucks in their daily lives and I think they will enjoy seeing them cut loose and put it all out there on the race track. I’m sure it’s something they wish they could do sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic.”Gates open at 4 p.m.
